Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

What fascinated me most about Virginia Woolf was the expression on her face.

Now I’ll admit right from the start that I have never read any of Woolf’s novels. According to Wikipedia – not my favorite source of valid information, especially anything to do with controversial topics, but useful now and then – Woolf was considered a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device.

As a person who prefers non-fiction written clearly, concisely, and well, stream of consciousness doesn’t really make me reach for the bookshelf for one of Woolf’s classics, which include Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Orlando.

But as an artist, what drew me to this early 20th century, English author was not her writing but, as I said at the beginning her face. The slight smile on her mouth invites the viewer to stop and look, to consider coming closer and introducing oneself, to talk with this person and see what she has to say.
